I have really good friends here at work. People from every where. The company works a lot on building a community and it has created one, and it's still developing. You can't be in this company without meeting people full of positive energy.
Avis Budget Group is continuously expanding and is the only car rental company that has more than one market-leading brand. It's a dynamic company that is continuously improving in an industry where competition between companies is huge. However our results prove we can stand our ground and we are very proud of our people because of this.
Team spirit has a very simple meaning. First thing first though, there is no 'I' in team, which means team is all about me and us. Put other people's needs ahead of your own. Put the business needs ahead of your own, then form a strategy that helps nurture a great team spirit.
Our organisation treats people equally, and helps them to develop every day, both professionally and personally. We have training, coaching facilities that help to create good professionals.
Our offices are brand new. A 21st century support centre that technically and aesthetically creates an environment that encourages improvement.
As a car rental company we take the protection of the environment very seriously. We are aware that our vehicles produce C02 emissions, therefore we compensate in many different ways. Avis Budget Group does a lot for the environment, but here in the Business Support Centre (BSC) we also try to contribute to that.
The office building we work is called the 'Green House'. It received a LEED Platinum certificate with the highest rating in Hungary. We pay attention to the environment. For example, we collect rainwater and use geothermal energy. Personally for me, it's very important that we recycle our waste.
As for the environment, it's very modern, creative and it inspires me a lot. I like to work here because there are many places in the building that you wouldn't expect to find and, even less so, be able to work in.
I can be active, meet and talk to a lot of people and have a positive impact on them. I learn a lot from others and, as this is just the start of my career, these experiences are hugely important me.
Through the induction period you find that in order to thrive here you have to prepare yourself for all the challenges you might face in the future. For instance, this could be languages, and the company give a huge amount of support to improve your linguistic capabilities.
You develop a sense of belonging very quickly. In the first few weeks the company gives you the chance and the opportunity to see the bigger picture, which allows you to see you're in the right place.
Goodbye [in many different languages].
